The MPCW-7 is a desktop wireless controller for Nevco scoreboards. It communicates wirelessly with a Nevco receiver unit connected to your scoreboard and supports sport-specific keyboard overlays for nine sports.

SpecificationValue
Power Supply9V DC, external supply (included)
Display16-character LCD
ProfilesUp to 100 per sport
Clock Resolution0.1 seconds (tenths)
CAUTION
WARNING: Use only the supplied 9V DC power supply. Using an incorrect supply may damage the controller or void the warranty.
  1. Connect the 9V DC power supply to the controller.
  2. Turn the power switch on the controller to the ON position.
  3. The LCD display illuminates, shows the sport name and software version briefly, then transitions to the main game screen.

The MPCW-7 uses removable keyboard overlays for each sport. Each overlay configures the controller with the correct buttons and display behavior for that sport. Select the manual for your sport below.

The MPCW-7 stores up to 100 profiles per sport. A profile captures all OPTIONS menu settings — clock direction, time-out timer presets, sport-specific settings (such as attack time for lacrosse), wireless channel, and more — so you can recall a complete scoreboard configuration with a single key press.

Default profiles for each sport are pre-loaded at the factory (profiles 88–96). You can save custom profiles to any of the 100 available slots.

Loading a profile:

  1. Press SCROLL PROFILES from the main game screen.
  2. Press SCROLL PROFILES repeatedly to step through available profiles.
  3. Press YES to load the displayed profile.

The controller must be paired to the receiver unit at the scoreboard.

NOTE
NOTE: Have the receiver's six-digit serial number ready before beginning.
  1. From the Link Receiver screen, press OPTIONS until the display reads Add Receiver.
  2. Press YES. Display reads Receiver# ◄.
  3. Enter the six-digit receiver serial number.
  4. The display shows _ ▲.
  5. Enter a receiver name (e.g. GYM 1 ▲).
NOTE
NOTE: Once a new receiver is added it is added to all profiles as linked.
