If your programming was lost after repair, or you have a new receiver/control, please follow the steps below to restore that programming. If you need assistance, please call 800-851-4040, OPTION 2.

  1. Take your system key to the MPCW-6 control. DO NOT PLUG THE SYSTEM KEY IN UNTIL PROMPTED.
  2. Place the 618 overlay on your control and power it on, then wait until it prompts you for a model code.
  3. Enter model code 851, and then plug the system key in.
  4. Wait for the control to ask if you want to overwrite; press YES.
  5. Wait for the control to instruct you to turn off the power and remove the system key; do so.
  6. Take your system key to the equipment (scoreboard, shot clock, delay of game, etc.) and climb up to the receiver.
  7. Unplug power to the receiver and then plug the system key into the System Key jack on the side or bottom of the receiver.
  8. Plug the power back into the receiver and immediately observe the lights on the system key. The yellow light should pulse, and the green light should flash once very quickly. If this does not happen, please call the service line. If it does, unplug the system key from the receiver and continue to Step 9.
  • (a) If the receiver has an "RW-" prefix on the serial numbers, you will need to unplug the power to the receiver and plug the power back in again after removing the system key.
  1. Repeat Steps 6–8 for any additional equipment/receivers.
  2. Take the system key back to the control. DO NOT PLUG THE SYSTEM KEY IN UNTIL PROMPTED.
  3. Power on the control and enter model code 618.
  4. The control will prompt you to insert the system key; do so.
  5. Wait for the control to save the data. It will eventually say "Unnamed Receiver." Name the receiver anything you'd like, as long as it is a unique name. In most cases, a variation of "REC #" is used, with "#" being replaced by a number. Then press YES. The control will then say "NAME ACCEPTED." If there are multiple receivers, the control will say "Unnamed Receiver" again; name this receiver uniquely as well (not the same name as the previous receiver).
  6. Once the screen says "READY", press SELECT GROUP until you reach the group that you want to add the receiver to. DO NOT PRESS YES OR ENTER.
NOTE
NOTE: (a) If there are no groups, or if you do not see the group you want, press NO until you return to the "READY" screen. Press CREATE GROUP, then name the group something unique or sport-related, and press YES. Once the group is created, repeat Step 14.
  1. With the group name on the screen, press ADD RCVR. If it displays the first receiver you named, press YES. If it does not, press ADD RCVR until you reach the correct receiver. Repeat Steps 14–15 for any additional receivers.
  2. Once the receivers are added to the group, press SAVE CHANGES TO SYSTEM. When it asks, "Do you want to save data to the system key?" press YES. Once the screen says "DATA SAVED" and then "press any key to continue", press QUIT three times, confirming when prompted.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions by turning off power to the control first, then removing the system key.
  4. You may now power on the control, enter the model code of the sport you'd like to play, and confirm that the scoreboard(s) turn on correctly.
