Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my graphic flicker in VideoPro's Program Monitor when it looks fine in the Designer Preview?

A graphic that plays cleanly in the Designer Preview but flickers in VideoPro's Program Monitor almost always has one of two causes. The first is a Pause marker too close to a layer's start or end. Open the graphic in the Designer, find the Pause marker in the marker strip at the top of the timeline, and check each layer for a start or end within one or two frames of the marker. If you find one, either drag the edge of the layer track so its start or end is further from the Pause marker, or move the Pause marker (right-click the existing marker to remove it, then right-click at the new position and add a new Pause Point). The Optimize Timing tool also catches this and may move the Pause marker one frame earlier automatically. The second cause is two external sources driving the same graphic variable, for example a Tables data column that auto-binds because it has the same name as a graphic variable while a Data Controller variable is also bound to it through Link Data, or two Data Controllers bound to the same layer. Stop the playback, open Link Data on the layer (the icon at the left edge of the Preview panel), find the flickering variable and confirm that exactly one external source is bound to it; if more than one is bound, remove the binding you don't want. For a Tables auto-bind, rename either the data column or the graphic variable so they no longer match, or explicitly bind the variable in Link Data to the source you want (the explicit binding takes precedence over auto-bind). In either case, re-cache the graphic in VideoPro and play it on air to confirm the flicker is gone.

VideoPro says "Not connected. No ATEM devices found." How do I fix it?

This message means VideoPro reached the SDK but found no switcher. Re-check cabling and the Connection Method in the ATEM Settings dialog. Confirm the ATEM is powered on, confirm the cable is in ATEM Control (not the program return port), and try toggling between Auto Connect and USB Only or Network - Manual IP Address.
